What is the CFA Programme?
The Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) programme is one of the most respected credentials in global finance, created by the CFA Institute. Level 1 is the entry point — it tests your knowledge of investment tools, financial reporting, ethics, and quantitative methods through 180 multiple-choice questions across two 135-minute sessions.
CFA Level 1
CFA Level 1 exams are offered four times a year — in February, May, August, and November. The exam is delivered online in a computer-based format. Results are released within 60 days of the exam date.

Eligibility Requirements
Candidates must satisfy at least one of the following formal eligibility requirements as outlined by the CFA Institute:
- Hold a bachelor's degree or equivalent from an accredited university or college.
- Have a minimum of 4,000 hours of relevant work experience and/or higher education.
- Possess a valid international passport.
- Demonstrate English language proficiency.
- Complete and submit the professional conduct statement.
- Pay the enrollment and registration fees set by the CFA Institute.

No, the CFA Institute does not request documents during the registration process. You may be asked for them at a later stage.
Can final-year students take the CFA Level 1 exam?
Yes — there must be eleven months or less between your chosen exam window (Feb/May/Aug/Nov) and your expected graduation month.
Is there an enrollment fee for CFA Level 1?
Yes. All candidates must pay the one-time enrollment fee of USD 450 at the time of first registration, in addition to the exam registration fee.
